Takeda is the first pharmaceutical company worldwide to have implemented this water preservation project, in collaboration with a Belgian start-up Ekopak, on a large scale. Their overall goal is to reduce freshwater withdrawal by 90% by 2027 (the equivalent of 600 million liters of freshwater).
