Kennedy Jr. recently stacked with handpicked members , recommended on Thursday that Americans should not receive flu vaccines containing the preservative thimerosal. CDC vaccine advisers recommend Merck’s RSV therapy for babies

A committee that advises the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on vaccines voted Thursday to recommend the use of a new monoclonal antibody against RSV in babies, Merck’s Enflonsia.  The monoclonal antibody, given to babies under 8 months of age entering their first RSV season, is the second product of this kind to enter the market, joining Sanofi and AstraZeneca’s Beyfortus in the RSV toolkit.

Radioligand therapy could address multiple cancer types

A new dual-targeting radiopharmaceutical cancer therapy has demonstrated its efficacy and safety in a first-in-human study. The targeted approach enabled enhanced precision and a more potent drug delivery to tumour cells. Nine patients with advanced adenocarcinomas received a single treatment cycle of the drug candidate 177 Lu-labeled FAPI-RGD. Preliminary data showed that the combination therapy facilitated tumour shrinkage or halted growth in 88.9 percent of patients.
