And here is our regular feature in which we highlight a different person each week. This time around, we note that ONK Therapeutics hired Bruce McCreedy as chief scientific officer. Previously, he was chief scientific officer at Myeloid Therapeutics. Before that, he worked at Precision Biosciences, where he was senior vice president, cell therapy and immuno-oncology research.
But all work and no play can make for a dull chief scientific officer. So in his spare time, McCreedy likes to hike. “Any time we can get a break, my wife and I love to hike. Where we live, there is a humongous reservoir and there are miles and miles of hiking trails. It depends on the day, but typical hikes are between six and seven miles on average, up and down hills. We try to make it in two hours or less… We go every week and pick a different trail… Right now, though, it’s a little tricky, because it’s also hunting season where we are. So we try to talk a lot and whistle to keep safe.”
