Johnson & Johnson announced Monday afternoon that John Reed, previously the head of research and development at Sanofi, would take over pharmaceuticals R&D at the country’s largest health conglomerate.
Sanofi, where Reed had worked since 2018, announced earlier Monday that he was departing to pursue a new opportunity.
“I am deeply honored and extremely excited to join Johnson & Johnson,” Reed said in a prepared statement. “I share the company’s commitment to innovation to conquer disease and improve human health, and I look forward to applying my passion for science, experience in drug discovery and development and commitment to helping patients in leading the talented pharmaceutical R&D team.”
