Hi friends,
I get so many questions about where I get my hair, lashes, nails, etc done in Connecticut so I figured I’d do a round up blog post of all my favorites places! This version is all things beauty in CT, but I hope to expand to restaurants, coffee shops and more in the future so let me know in the comments if there’s anything specific you want to see in a future CT round up!
Hair
I’ve been going to Larissa Lake & Co for the past 2+ years and couldn’t recommend them more. I first discovered them when they did Conner’s sisters wedding hair and make up back in 2019! Kayla (Conner’s sister) has been a client there for a long time and we see the same hair stylist Kristyn, who is also the salon manager. I get highlights about every 4 months and typically get a keratin treatment once each year. I just did a reel that shows the entire keratin process if you’re interested! (REEL). Aside from the incredible staff, the salon itself is absolutely beautiful and so luxurious that it always puts me in a relaxed “I’m treating myself” state which is the cherry on top of a great salon experience.

Lashes
I started getting my lashes done early in 2022 at the same salon I get my hair done at. The owner (& queen herself) Larissa does my lashes! I see her about every 3 weeks and usually get some form of hybrid lashes. At this point she knows what I like so all I have to do is lay down and relax but if I were to explain what I like, I generally ask for shorter in the corner of my eyes and then slightly longer on the sides for a bit of a cat eye look. They don’t charge more if you want volume or hybrid which is great as well since some salons up charge if you aren’t doing “classic.” You can expect ~2 hours for your initial set and traditionally 1 hr for fills but you can choose to purchase more time if you ever need to (for reference I never have).

Nails
I’ve been going to Villa Nail Spa for years but recently switched locations! I was going to their Old Saybrook location but it was harder to find a time and the nail technicians experience with the gel nails I get really varied in my opinion. I now go to their Madison location which is so hard to find online which is why I think it’s still a hidden gem! I can get an appointment usually very easily and I see Lee every single time because he is incredible and his attention to detail is unmatched. The Madison location is again hard to find online so see below for their info.

Med Spa
I’ve gone to several Med Spas before for Botox and facials and Greenwich Med Spa is hands down my favorite. They have so many locations across the state so chances are there is one close to you. I’ve been to the Cerulean Spa in Mystic (more about this here) and the Norwich Spa at Foxwoods and have had incredible experiences at both! I want to start doing more staycations in Connecticut so hopefully I’ll have more to add to this category soon
