An Unexpected Milestone – Thanksgiving Thank You

I was incredibly excited to pass the 1,000,000 podcast download milestone recently! I had no idea that there would be that many people that would be interested in learning about drugs.

I have been blessed to receive many thank you’s and messages of appreciation for the podcast and the blog. These messages have been mini-rocket boosters along the way to keep me going on days when it is hard for me to maintain my motivation. It’s been over 7 years since the start of the blog and I have zero regrets. Most days it is easy to do because pharmacy education brings me joy. I’d encourage you to follow your dreams and passions as well whether they be inside or outside of pharmacy. To those of you who have reached out just to say thanks and offer a word of encouragement, I thank you. Your message(s) means more than you realize.

For those of you who have purchased something on this website or Amazon, I greatly appreciate it. You may not have realized it, but your purchase has allowed me to cut back to a part-time clinical pharmacist role so I can spend more time creating content and keeping things up to date! In addition, I used to have to miss out on more family things due to working full-time while managing the blog and the gift of time has been the greatest thing anyone has ever given me. Thank you to all who have purchased anything. It means more than you’ll ever know.

What’s on the horizon for Meded101 and Real Life Pharmacology? More of the same. I love being a pharmacist and I love educating healthcare professionals about the use of medications.

My last message for this post is to all of you are out there on the front lines. Thank you for being there and showing up despite the risks. COVID has been the greatest healthcare challenge that I have seen in my generation thus far and we have some great people in this world giving everything they have and then some. I’m praying for good news and that you all get through this safe and sound. Thank you.

    Hey,

To begin, I want to let you know I passed the BCGP! I honestly attribute the margin I was successful to your QBank and book (outline type notes). I utilized 2 other resources for preparation and they were simply not adequate, I’ll hold off from naming them out of courtesy haha! The other courses had no substantive content on the softer non-clinical aspects of the exam. I really appreciate and recommend your review material.

Well, I cannot thank you enough! As a pharmacist who took off 5 years to serve in Thailand, coming back to the practice of pharmacy was a little challenging for me. Your podcast has been the perfect Avenue to build up my confidence and knowledge allowing-me to serve my patients. I’m so thankful for the opportunity I have been given to work part-time at an independent community pharmacy only 3 miles from my home. Yesterday I put one of your books (Pharmacotherapy)on my Christmas list. Thank you again for your dedication to providing education to people like myself. Il’m so glad you can spend more time with your family too. I look forward to many more podcasts.

Since you asked for a suggestion….. maybe something to cover OTC Recommendations? Ie. Laxative, cough,, MVI, cold, some of the popular supplements, Vit E, calcium, natural sleep aids, and others?
