Double win for StudyKIK's oncology and cash apps helping trial patients

It is also a place where work is recognized and awards are won and in the case of StudyKIK, they came away from last month’s event with two awards. Explaining what is so special about their apps, we spoke to the company’s product marketing manager, Kristin Ziagura.

Winning the Participant Engagement Award, she explained how their Oncology Study App works.

Patients can access all their important study information in one convenient place. 

She added: “Uniquely, our application provides the ability to connect a patient’s support network which facilitates the participation of caregivers in the app, enabling them to receive the same important information as the patient during active treatment including dosage and appointment reminders.”

Their StudyCash app won Best of Show and offers a convenient, secure system that allows clinical trial participants around the world to ask for payment for their study-related activities. Patients can submit payment requests in a few easy steps from anywhere which makes accessibility and connection for patients around the world. There is no fee for patients so making, collecting, and tracking payments is as easy as it can be taking nothing away from the patient.

With regards to the industry the company believes these technologies help to prioritize the needs of patients, which is essential to the effective conduct of clinical research.  By improving the patient experience, it said, they can help to increase levels of patient engagement and retention, which in turn can help to improve the accuracy of research results.
